Abstract

In September 2019 Zeus completed the Lean & Green Action Plan and began collecting data in order to accurately visualize CO2 emissions within the activities of their company. The Lean & Green Action Plan helped Zeus to create a sustainability roadmap.


Relevance

Aside from implementing environmental policies across their company, Zeus is also working hard on sustainability issues with special attention being given to the reduction of CO2 emissions within their logistics operations.

Zeus are committed to prevent pollution. Through the continuing development, implementation and promotion of waste prevention, reduction, reuse and recycling on-site in a systematic and cost-effective manner. Zeus minimises the emissions from their fleet through adequate maintenance and testing.

Zeus supports its environmental commitments by implementing an EMS based on the requirements of ISO 14001. The EMS is systematically and periodically assessed for its effectiveness and opportunities for continual improvement.


Impact & Achieved Results

Zeus Packaging through its participation in the Lean Green programme has so far seen a reduction of 16% in C02 emissions in 2019 compared to 2018.


Indicators of performance and success

Zeus Packaging has joined Repak’s Plastic Pledge, the aims of which is to reduce plastic waste and foster responsible plastic management within the packaging industry.
