This course highlights the importance of service-based businesses in promoting the shift to a circular economy. It focuses on transitioning from the linear ‘take-make-dispose’ model to a more sustainable and resource-efficient approach, emphasizing benefits like environmental impact reduction and innovation. It introduces the “CEM for SMEs” project as an initiative to facilitate this transition.
The module’s aim is to involve understanding circular economy principles, recognizing benefits and challenges, and gaining the skills to design circular business models and enhance resource efficiency within service companies. Ultimately, participants will be equipped to drive sustainable and resilient business practices.
